MILEY CYRUS & NICOLE RICHIE TAKE A STAND AGAINST PAPARAZZI

Being a celebrity has its perks, but it also has its downfalls. One of them: being followed around by paparazzi.

Some celebrities can’t go to a restaurant or visit a friend at a park without being followed. It must get frustrating. In the past week, two celebrities have gotten fed up with the paps.

Miley Cyrus was trying to enjoy lunch at Paty’s with her little sister Noah when she spotted a female paparazzi filming the lunch from across the street. A video has surfaced of the encounter, in which Miley crosses the street and says, “I’m having lunch with a 10 year old. Can you not film me, I will call the Police. You said you wouldn’t film me.”

Paparazzi have also been trying to snap pics outside of the school where Nicole Richie’s daughter goes, and the star took to her blog to express her anger.

Richie wrote on her blog: “You are stalking the children. Now how do you feel? I promise you that I am going to do a background check on each and every person that I see there. For the safety of my children and others… You should be ashamed of yourselves. These are young children and you should know better. X17, you are irresponsible and repulsive. Consider this a warning.”

Her fiance, Joel Madden, has also spoken out about the incident. “You guys better hope you’re alright sitting outside of a school, (because) I’m gonna have all your tags run and everything… Dear X17online please stop having your photographers wait at my kid’s school. The car that was there today was X17online…I’ve learned a lot of self control & acceptance. Still never gonna be OK with grown men creeping outside schools. Gotta do what I can do.”

Often times people forget that celebrities are people too.

Do you think the paparazzi go too far? If you were the celebrity, how would you handle the situation?
