Justin Bieber To Make Film With Mark Wahlberg

Mark Wahlberg has his heart set on making Justin Bieber a major movie star and has hired a screenwriter to make the perfect film for the teen sensation.

According to reports, the Fighter actor was so impressed by Justin’s hoop skills at the NBA all-star game in February that he wants to produce a basketball movie with the 17-year-old as the star.

Mark said: "Justin Bieber and I are going to do a movie together. We're putting it together… We talked to him about doing it and he loved the idea. He sent me a video of himself and yeah, I think he's really talented."

Wahlberg will also star in the as-yet-untitled flick, which is described as The Colour Of Money meets The Karate Kid. Movies studios Paramount are on board after being blown away by the success of Justin’s tour documentary Never Say Never, which cost $13m and went on to make nearly $100m at the box office.

Justin has been open about his ambitions to pursue a movie career after he had good reviews for his role as troubled teen Jason McCann in US crime series CSI. “I definitely want to do more acting, and further my career in that area, that's something I would love to do,” he said recently.

The Baby hitmaker, who is currently on tour in Australia, was recently named in Time magazine's prestigious list of the 100 most influential people in the world alongside Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey and Prince William.
