Joe Jonas didn't let national television caught him and ex-girlfriend Demi Lovato having an awkward moment. Knowing that the "Sonny With a Chance" beauty was also invited to the 2010 Do Something Awards on Monday evening, July 19, the 20-year-old heartthrob has reportedly avoided any chance to brush shoulders with her at the VH1-televised event.
The Daily Mail reported that Joe, who wore a long-sleeves square-patterned shirt and looked scruffy at the event, made sure he didn't meet Demi on the red carpet by arriving after his co-star in "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" had finished walking the carpet. During the show, he and his 17-year-old ex took part in presenting awards separately.
On the special night, Joe represented his band Jonas Brothers in picking up a kudo for Do Something Music Artist, which was presented by "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi. He and brothers, Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas bested over fellow nominees, Lady Gaga, Shakira, Pete Wentz and Christina Aguilera.
2010 Do Something Awards was aired live from the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood. Hosted by "Glee" star Jane Lynch, the show featured musical performances from Natasha Bedingfield, Lifehouse, and Travis McCoy with special guest Bruno Mars. Kellan Lutz, Kristen Bell and AnnaLynne McCord were among the attendees.
