Karen Rodriguez is the latest contestant to be voted off “American Idol,” but we definitely think she’s a winner!
On “American Idol,” Karen told the story of how her sister is a huge fan of Nick Jonas. After leaving the stage Ryan promptly called Joe Jonas attempting to coordinate a meeting between his Nick and Karen.
Karen stopped by “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” talk talk about Idol and of course Nick. During her interview, Nick snuck into the studio while Karen was talking and gave her the surprise of her life. Karen received a hug from Nick and said, “Oh, my God! This tops my ‘American Idol’ experience.”
Karen shared that she had hoped to sing her own version of “Burnin’ Up” on the talent show but never got the chance. She was able to sing it for Nick, which we think is much better.
Nick also helped make Karen’s little sister’s dreams come true by calling her on the phone and serenading her with “When You Look Me in the Eyes.”
