Despite his new-found fame, Justin Bieber has a simple birthday wish for his sweet 16. In an interview with J-14 magazine, the pop sensation confessed that his top-of-the-list wish is to have all of his family come together. "To me, the tradition is spending time with my family," he shared. "Aside from the cake!"
During the chat, the "Baby" hitmaker also opened up about his excitement to be able to get behind the wheels. "I'll just be really happy to drive," he spilled before gushing about his first stop after getting his license. "I'll probably go get something to eat or go pick up my friends." Though admitting the fact that he thinks the best part about turning 16 is being able to drive, he stated, "I think I'll just be happy to be 16. It's a cool age!"
Justin Bieber turned 16 years old on Monday, March 1. It was reported previously that he was throwing a three-day party in celebration of his sweet 16. The bash was said to include paintball, sumo wrestling and laser tag. For his party, the Canadian singer allegedly has rented out a private estate in Los Angeles.
TMZ reported that the guests whose age are under 18 has to get their parents to sign a waiver that states, "I fully understand my/minor's participation may involve risk or serious injury or death." Additionally, the Ludacris' collaborator also strictly prohibited alcohol and smoking from the party.
On Sunday, February 28, Bieber took it to his Twitter account to express his gratitude for the birthday wishes. "surrounded by great friends and my birthday is almost here. thanks to everyone for the well wishes," he tweeted. The next day, he posted another tweet that read, "thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes. u guys all changed my life and are giving me a great birthday. appreciate it "
