Justin Bieber, below, the shaggy-haired, baby-faced Usher protégé, is barely 16, but he now has a No. 1 album on the Billboard chart. “My World 2.0” (Island), his first full-length LP, sold 283,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Billboard reported that Mr. Bieber is the youngest solo male artist to top its album chart since a 13-year-old Stevie Wonder reached No. 1 in 1963 with “Little Stevie Wonder: The 12 Year Old Genius.” Mr. Bieber’s mini-album, “My World,” released in November, rose five spots to No. 5 this week with 50,000 sales; together the two records have sold just under 1.4 million copies. Also on the chart this week, Monica’s album “Still Standing” (J), whose creation was documented in a BET reality series, opened at No. 2 with 184,000 sales, and “Now That’s What I Call Music!” Volume 33, with songs by Kesha, Lady Gaga, Owl City and 18 others, opened at No. 3 with 135,000. Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now” (Capitol Nashville), last week’s top seller, dropped three spots to No. 4 with 78,000. “Volume 2” (Merge), the second album by She & Him — featuring the actress Zooey Deschanel and the jack-of-all-indie-trades M. Ward — opened at No. 6 with 47,000.
