Before he shot to stardom with the Jonas Brothers, Nick Jonas has appeared in several plays on Broadway. In the summer of 2010, he returned to the theater stage once again. This time around, he made his West End debut performing as Marius in "Les Miserables", and it won't be the last of him performing on theater.
In a recent interview with Diabetes Health, the 18-year-old singer revealed that he is still interested in working on Broadway. "There are a number of different roles I would like to play," he spilled. He went on to add, "It just would have to be the right time and the right thing. You never know where I might pop up."
During the chat, the younger brother of Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas spoke of his dream collaboration as well. Describing The Beatles member Paul McCartney as "an amazing man and an amazing performer, and obviously he is quite a legend", the "Who I Am" singer said, "It would be a pleasure playing with him."
Living with type 1 diabetes, Nick also isn't shy of raising awareness about the disease. The pop star shared during the interview, "I still have diabetes and I'm probably going to have it for a while, unless there is a cure one day." He added, "You know, it's something that I'm passionate about, and I want to speak out about it."
The former boyfriend of Selena Gomez, who envisions himself doing more advocacy in the future, elaborated further, "I've seen the effects it has on young people. They feel alone with their everyday struggles with diabetes, and they just want to have that assurance that they can live out their dreams with diabetes."
