Selena Gomez has a stalker. No, it's not one of Justin Bieber's overly zealous and/or insanely jealous fans. The Wizards of Waverly Place star's stalker is a full-grown man from Clinton, Louisiana named Jay Herrod--a self-styled, world famous celebrity, video star and producer, and 2012 presidential hopeful. Seriously. He's also made videos featuring himself proclaiming his obsession--er--love for Selena Gomez.
According to 2 Snaps TV, Herrod first became "famous" a few years ago for fighting against a "saggy pants ordinance" in his hometown.
Herrod opposed the local law, because "he likes cutting his grass while wearing a skirt." He was subsequently featured in a 2008 issue of the National Enquirer. So much for his personal claims to fame.
Last Tuesday the "World Famous Celebrity" was featured on Comedy Central's Tosh.0 in a clip from the video he made about the Disney star.
His obsession with Selena Gomez is just plain weird. Herrod, who admits he is "head-over-heels in love" with the 18-year-old singer/actress, believes that she came into his life at exactly the right time when he needed her most.
He considers her a "very loving and caring woman" who would "never tell him wrong." So far, so good. Sort of. If Selena Gomez must be saddled with a stalker, it's good that she has one who thinks highly of her.
But Herrod--and here's where things get twisted--also believes that she totally controls his life. Yes, sweet little Selena Gomez controls Jay Herrod--his thoughts, dreams, aspirations, everything.
Yikes. Was it Selena who told Herrod to run for president in 2012? Does she want to be First Lady? And what does Justin Bieber think about her mind control experiments?
Seriously, Jay Herrod is obviously either a deeply disturbed individual or a genius at garnering media attention and gratuitous publicity. Whatever the case, hope he remains as he is and never becomes the kind of stalker who might pose a threat to Selena Gomez and/or her family and friends.
