Jonas Brother K2 Bails on Texas Mansion

Don't tell us: The house was too close to Mom and Dad and the other Jonas brothers over there on Wisteria Way? Kevin Jonas, also known as K2, and his New Jersey-born wife, Danielle (pictured at left) just listed their 5,045-square-foot Westlake, Texas mansion for $2.2 million. The spread, 2000 Rock Dove Court, is located about 40 minutes west of Dallas in an exclusive enclave known as Vaquero.

Originally developed by Discovery Land Company in 2002, Vaquero is a gated community for the über-wealthy and loaded with sports stars like pro golfers Ben Crane, K.J. Choi and Todd Hamilton. Tiger Wood's former golf instructor, Hank Haney, has a home in Vaquero.

Baseball player Vernon Wells, who plays for the Toronto Blue Jays, is building a 15,000-plus-square-foot home there, as is the retired CEO of Exxon-Mobil, but on three lots. Vanessa Swarovski, an heiress to the Swarovski crystal family, also has an enormous home in Vaquero. You don't get behind the manned gates unless you belong, like Texas Rangers owner Chuck Greenberg. Greenberg's 8,754 square foot manse is small by Vaquero standards.

And 2000 Rock Dove Court is quite cozy, as you'll see in the video below. Built in 2004, the newlywed Jonas couple bought the home last year shortly after their wedding. In a word, the place is loaded (see pictures below).

Most rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows with great views of those huge Vaquero one is on .71 of an acre. The exterior is a Mediterranean-style, Texas Hill Country blend, with Austin stone and tile/slate roof.

Maybe they are moving because the home only has three bedrooms, and Kevin and Danielle want some little Jonases around? There are baths off each bedroom (plus another 3.5 baths), five living areas, a long pool and spa with aerated fountains, a great outdoor living/kitchen area with fountains, covered outdoor dining, fireplace and so many water features that you might mistake the backyard for a water park. The kitchen is totally decked out with enough granite to deplete Brazil, and oodles of storage.

There also is a four-car garage, floors of wood, flagstone and terrazzo, a mammoth utility room, home theater, game room, wine cellar and a beautiful, rich, wood-paneled library that houses all of Kevin's work and guitars.

Another perk: The home comes with a Vaquero golf membership, valued at $175,000, on a par-71 course designed by Tom Fazio. Which is included in the sales price, by the way.

What's with these kids? We just posted that Andy Roddick and Brooklyn Decker are shedding their $3.6 million starter pad in Austin for bigger digs.
