With so many celebs opting for lighter shades on the People's Choice Awards red carpet Wednesday night (January 6), it begs the question: Is the "no white after Labor Day" rule gone for good?
Olivia Wilde went for her typical red-carpet style in a voluminous white dress paired with a black belt. "Gossip Girl" actress Kelly Rutherford looked stunning in her champagne satin gown with '40s-style sequined detailing. "Inglourious Basterds" leading lady Diane Kruger looked hip and fresh in her skintight white bandage dress paired with gladiator heels.
Carrie Underwood went funky chic in a nude mid-length dress with lacy black overlay. Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams embraced her punk-rock sprit in a vintage-inspired black dress covered in little white bows, and red lips to match her fiery hair. Ginnifer Goodwin looked a little like a wacky Carrie Bradshaw in her striped black-and-white minidress with a giant flower on the shoulder.
Although the Taylors didn't walk the carpet, the recently broken-up couple did make the show, as expected. Lautner looked very chic in his shiny gray suit and skinny black tie. Meanwhile, Swift was spotted backstage in a little white jacket and side-swept bun.
Colbie Caillat hit the carpet in an orange Grecian-style dress and nude shoes, a look that was very polished for the typically beachy singer. Also rocking the shade was "Glee" star Lea Michele, who paired her orange sweetheart dress with rainbow-color peep-toes.
"The Blind Side" star Sandra Bullock wore a mustard-color three-quarter-length dress with a swooping neckline. Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger went very Vegas chic in a deep-bronze halter dress, with her hair pulled back and big earrings.
Demi Lovato looked grown-up in a low-cut, very short purple dress with a fringy hemline and a big sparkly choker. Kellan Lutz represented for his "Twilight "crew in a shark-skin blazer paired with gray slacks and bleach-blond locks.
And, finally, the Cobra Starship guys coordinated in grey suits of different shades paired with wine-color ties. As for the group's lone lady, Victoria Asher, she wore a gothy lace-up dress, also wine-color.
