The pint-sized pop star told MTV News that while girls are 'fun to hang out with', his hectic schedule of touring and entertaining his fans around the world means that going steady is the last thing on his mind.
'[When I'm] constantly travelling one girl's not gonna really [work]. You can't really have one girl,' he said.
The singer was speaking with pal and fellow young star Jaden Smith, who recently appeared opposite kung fu legend Jackie Chan in the remake of The Karate Kid.
Bieber said that the pair share a relaxed attitude to their celebrity status.
'Right now, the best thing is [being] just teenagers having fun doing what we love. We're just staying ourselves and remaining humble,' he said.
The 16-year-old has become something of a teen sensation since emerging on the pop scene last year with his debut single One Time.
He was recently at the centre of a media frenzy after being pictured walking hand-in-hand on the beach with 29-year-old socialite Kim Kardashian.
It soon emerged that the pictures were the result of a staged photo shoot for Elle magazine.
