We don't feel threatened by new stars like Justin Bieber, insist Kevin Jonas

THE Jonas Brothers claim they don't fear the rise and rise of 16-year old rival Justin Bieber.
It's fair to say the younger and cuter Justin has taken some of the puppy love o the Jonas Brothers.

But the sibling trio - Joe, 21, Kevin, 22, and 18-year-old Nick - insist they aren't afraid of their fans jumping ship with Bieber Fever.

Kevin, who put a spanner in their boyband credentials by marrying former hairdresser Danielle Deleasa in December, insisted: "I think there is room for everybody.

"We're not afraid of anything or worried about anything. We're just being who we are and making music that we love.

"We're proud of the guys that are following their dreams. As long as they're doing it for the right reasons, we'll totally support them."

The brothers may be young but, like many Disney stars, are already veterans.

In the past four years as well as their own TV series, they have starred in movies including Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: the Final Jam, the DVD of which is out this week.

The boys even played singing cherubs in Night At the Museum 2: Battle Of the Smithsonian.

Disney is like a club and it seems they all know each other. Nick dated Miley Cyrus and Joe dated Demi Lovato, his co-star in Camp Rock.

They split earlier this year and Demi, who is supporting them on their South American tour in October, was hurt when he brought his new girl - Twilight star Ashley Greene - on their tour of America in August.

Joe stressed it's all cool. He said: "Me and Demi, we've known each other for a long time. We're very close friends. We've been friends for a long time.

"Some things work out, some things don't. That's just how it is.

"It's always fun working on screen and off stage with Demi. We have a lot of fun."

In Camp Rock 2, there was a cute scene where the boys share brotherly advice. It's a moment taken from life.

Joe said: "I think we write songs about personal experiences and relationships.

"That's kind of where we like to discuss our personal life a lot. We like to keep it that way."

He added that the brothers are always there for each other in matters the heart and will let the others know what they think.

Clearly it's hard for the trio - who were mocked by Russell Brand for wearing purity rings - to find girls who don't want to date them just because they are famous.

Joe said: "The person you meet or date has to like you for who you are. I think it takes time to find someone like that.

"There is no need to rush something like that. I think you have to take your time with it. You get to know the person and make sure that their heart is in the right place.

"You have to trust them. I think trust is the biggest thing."

On tour, Joe and Nick travel with the band while Kevin and Danielle have their own bus. Kevin laughed: "We need our space."

The first Jonas to get hitched is still basking in married life. He said: "I love it.

"I can absolutely recommend it. If you have the right person - and I do! I definitely love being with her. I definitely made the right decision."
