Nick Jonas joins Michelle Obama's 'Let's Move!' campaign

Nick Jonas is teaming up with First Lady Michelle Obama in the fight against childhood obesity, Disney announced Thursday.

The first lady and the youngest member of the Jonas Brothers band will appear in a series of public service announcements -- that will also feature Disney starlet Brenda Song.

"Did you know that getting up and getting active for just 60 minutes a day is all it takes to get stronger, look better and feel great?" the 18-year-old tween heartthrob asks kids in one of the announcements.

Their initiative “Disney Magic of Healthy Living” will also launch two websites that gives kids ideas on healthy habits and exercise activities.

"I am thrilled to join 'Disney's Magic of Healthy Living' effort and support the work these young people are doing to reach out to their peers and communicate this powerful message," said Obama.

Obama has made promoting healthy eating a priority during her tenure as first lady, launching the "Let's Move!" campaign to combat childhood obesity and cultivating a garden at the White House to encourage children to eat fresh fruits and vegetables.
