Taylor Swift plans Thanksgiving special on Channel 12

Country-pop Taylor Swift will take fans on a cross-country video bus tour and perform in a Thanksgiving television special called "Taylor Swift: Speak Now."

The show, named after Swift's new, chart-topping album, "Speak Now," airs at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 25, on Channel 12 (KPNX-TV).

The show covers a trip from Los Angeles to New York and features concerts in, among other places, New York's Central Park and on top of a tour bus in Hollywood.

Swift will perform nine songs from her new CD - "Mine," "Sparks Fly," "The Story of Us," "Long Live," "Haunted," "Mean," "Back to December," "Enchanted" and the title track.

The program also follows Swift into the recording studio and on a press outing to promote "Speak Now," which sold more than 1 million copies in its first week of release, in late October.

Swift will be a guest on two other programs: "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" (10:35 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, Channel 12) and "Chelsea Lately" (11 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24 on E!), in advance of the NBC Thanksgiving special.
