Jonas Brothers star Nick thrills fans he begins rehearsal for West End debut in Les Miserables

Nick Jonas thrilled fans in London today as he started rehearsals for his West End theatre debut.

The 17-year-old American pop sensation signed autographs and happily posed with the crowds of girls gathered outside the Apollo Theatre today.

He is set to play the role of Marius in Les Miserables at the Queen's Theatre for a three week run, as the Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye first reported.

The star is familiar with the musical having played the part of Gavroche in the last nine months of Les Miserable's run on Broadway in 2003.

In October, Nick will be part of a huge, star- studded company being assembled to perform a 25th anniversary concert at the O2 Centre in Greenwich, South-East London.

Nick and his brothers Kevin and Joe have become huge international music stars.

Their albums sell in the millions, and they're the favourite band of President Obama's two young daughters.
