Summer may be drawing to a close, but camp is in session for the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato as they head back into the woods for "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam," debuting on Disney Channel, Friday, Sept. 3 at 8/7c. If you liked the 2008 TV movie, then you'll definitely want to write home about the sequel as it's even bigger than the original. How do we know? The Jonas Brothers told us so!
When we caught up with the JoBros on the road for their summer tour, they couldn't help but gush about their upcoming flick. "I think overall, the production and the music were definitely on the next level," Joe Jonas explained. "The staging was phenomenal for the film. We were always filming somewhere different. Every other day was a new location. For us, that was really exciting because for the first one we stuck to about three different sets, and this time probably having 15, 16 different sets, for us, that was really exciting."
The amped-up production value is also on display in their tour with Demi Lovato and fellow "Camp Rock" campers. "We've been able to put on some really exciting shows," Kevin Jonas enthused. "For us to be able to have the production that we always dreamed of, that's why it's exciting for us and for our audience as well."
Having been treated to a sneak peek of "Camp Rock 2," we can only echo Joe's sentiments. From rival Camp Star's epic performance stage to an idyllic lake that's home to a hilarious, can't-miss scene (hint: Nick Jonas gets very wet), the sets are many and varied, giving the small-screen movie a big-screen feel.
