AOL partners Jonas Bros to launch music platform - Cambio

AOL joined hands with The Jonas Group; the company run by the Jonas Brothers' father to launch a new music platform, Cambio.

The new music platform will provide users with video content, daily and weekly web shows, while advertisers can use the site to publicise their brands.

The ad-funded service aims to cash on the new inventory by pushing AOL’s video at a time when the target audience is tuned into YouTube and online TV networks. Apart from daily and weekly video programming, Cambio will also have local content. The site will be funded by ads, including sponsored and traditional banner ads.

Under the partnership, The Jonas Group will be providing several different web shows, including an entertainment talk show, a late-night talk show, a docudrama and other webisode series, reports mentioned.

Aiming to attract youth audiences in the 13 to 24 age range, Cambio will provide advertisers with more than just a banner on the site. Officials at AOL believe the platform will be profitable from day one because of the participation of big advertisers.

Trueveo a sub-group of AOL had launched a new video discovery application for Facebook on June 10th. This application allows users to search and browse more than 500 million videos, directly from Facebook.
