The one-third of the Jonas Brothers are captured on camera shaking hands and getting into a deep conversation with the British royal at a soccer coaching event in Botswana, South Africa.
Joe Jonas has got a chance to brush shoulders with a British royal when he teamed up with Prince William for a charity event in South Africa. On Wednesday, June 16, the middle member of the Jonas Brothers met the 27-year-old prince in person at a soccer coaching event at Maun Stadium in Botswana while supporting the Coaching for Conservation program.
The 20-year-old musician, who attended the event wearing a Team USA jacket and cap, was captured on camera shaking hands as well as getting into a deep conversation with William. Asked whether the meeting was planned, he responded, "It kind of just came together." He added that he got a call from the organizers "about a week ago," just after he landed in Africa.
"They said, 'Hey, we are going to be playing Joe's music in Africa for this event, is that cool with you guys?' and we said, 'Well Joe's actually in Africa now'," the former boyfriend of Disney star Demi Lovato recalled on the offer. "Ultimately I was coming here to be with the kids, encourage the kids, and this all came about to be with the Prince."
Coaching For Conservation is a conservation project in Botswana which blends soccer skills to wildlife protection. Run by the Botswana Predator Conservation Trust, the innovative project aims to teach youngsters self respect and awareness of the environment around them.
