Taylor Swift has narrowly dodged the long arm of the law during her visit to Melbourne this week.
Government officials shook their heads at poor Taylor after she announced on Twitter that she'd been feeding wild possums in a city park!
After her Wednesday night show at Rod Laver Arena, Taylor tweeted:
"Tonight the band and I played a show, then hopped in the van and headed to the park for some midnight wild possum feeding."
Staff from the Department of Sustainability and Environment were not too impressed with Taylor's love for wildlife!
"We know people who feed wild animals often have the best intentions and that it is attractive to tourists who want to interact with Australian wildlife," said a government spokesperson.
"However, DSE advises people not to feed wild animals."
Ummmaaaaa! Swifty got told!
Taylor was also spotted during the day shopping with her mum on High Street in Melbourne suburbs Prahran and Armadale.
According to The Herald Sun, Taylor bought a few things from swanky boutique Fenton; Fenton including a silk cushion and some antique birdcages.
