Billboard has a new chart, to measure the hottest 21 musicians under 21. This is due to the sudden rise of the young brigade, coming in and stealing the hearts and ear drums of teenagers with disposable money and the parents who wish they were 14 again.
Topping the list was Taylor Swift, was at 14 the youngest staff songwriter in the history of Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Currently 20, she is one of the oldest on the list. Her next album, ‘Speak Now’ is expected to be a hit on the Billboard top 100 charts.
Number two on the list was YouTube sensation Justin Bieber, who just pipped out Disney star Selena Gomez. The lil’ Biebs recently made his acting debut on the season premiere of ‘CSI’, and has made a fortune in cash and teenage hearts with his album and his “My World” tour.
One of Disney’s favourite, Miley Cyrus, 17, also made the list, coming in at number 10. Getting her start on the Disney show Hannah Montana, she used the show to launch her music career under the guidance of her mullet-ed country singing father Billy Ray Cyrus. Once seen as a wholesome popstar, she has turned her image into something more seductive, especially in her latest hit ‘Can’t Be Tamed’.
